Albert P. DiRaimo

Albert P. DiRaimo, 86, of Erie, passed away Monday, March 27, 2017 at Saint Vincent Health Center. He was born September 17, 1930 in Erie, a son of the late Salvatore and Lucia Balestrieri DiRaimo.

Albert was a graduate of Tech Memorial High School. He served in the United States Army as a helicopter crew chef during the Korean War from 1952-1953.

Albert retired from Bucyrus Erie after 40 years. He was a member of the Nuova Aurora Club.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Stephen and Frank DiRaimo.

He is survived by his wife, of 65 years, Marie R. DiFucci DiRaimo of Erie; one daughter, Diane E. DiRaimo of New York, NY; a son, Robert DiRaimo of Tampa, FL; and four grandchildren, Cristina, Michelle, Jackie, and Katelyn. He is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Wednesday from 3 to 6 p.m. Funeral Services and burial will be private. Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
