Amy L. Montefiori Federici

Amy Frontino Montefiori Federici, 96, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Friday, May 23, 2025 at Sarah Reed Senior Living Center. She was born in North East, PA on February 23, 1929, a daughter of the late Jennie (Villardo) and Louis Frontino.

Amy enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, playing cards and working around the house and in the yard. In her younger years Amy worked at Louis Marx Toy Company and spoke fondly of her time there and the people she worked with. Later in life she was a volunteer at Blessed Sacrament Food Bank as well as a standardized patient at LECOM Health (her "acting" job). After marrying her husband Benny, they settled in North East where she worked taking care of the home, raising her children and helping with her husband's tailor shop. More than anything Amy loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with each of them.

In addition to her parents, Amy was preceded in death by her infant son, Michael Montefiori; and husbands Benny Montefiori and Angelo Federici; her beloved sisters Rose (Bud) Sweeney, Connie (Al) Buffalari, Marion (Jack) Soeder, Jeanette (Ed) Walker, and Lorreta (Don) Bruschi; her brothers Jason (Mary) Frontino, Jim (Betty and Jan) Frontino, Sal (Jean) Frontino; her brother in law Nick Montefiori (Delores); her nephews, Al Buffalari, Jason, Louis, and Sieri Frontino; and step-son Benny Montefiori.

Amy is survived by her children Lisa Montefiori of Chicago, Michael Montefiori of Erie, Tony (Kelly) Montefiori of North East, and Louis (Debbie) Montefiori of Erie; and her step children Rick (Faith) Federici, Penni Federici, and Sharon Siciliano, all of Erie. She is additionally survived by her grandchildren Jacob (Alexandra) Montefiori, Jeremy Montefiori, Andrew Montefiori, Evan Montefiori, Tony Montefiori, Salvatore (Joelle) Montefiori, Katie (Travis) Dombeck, Annie Montefiori, Marco Montefiori, Marialana (Matt Tusick) Montefiori, Dominic Montefiori, Santino Montefiori and Alexis and Ricky Federici, Noah Laughner along with great grandchildren Henry, Leo, Allie, Oliver, Elliot, and one soon to arrive; her sister in law Helen Frontino; and her grand dog, Lucy. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Amy's family would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Sarah Reed Senior Living for their care and compassion over the past few months.

Friends may call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, 2122 Raspberry Street, on Thursday, May 29th, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and are invited to a service there on Friday May 30th, at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at Blessed Sacrament Church, 1626 West 26th Street, at 10 a.m. Interment will be at St. Gregory's Cemetery in North East, PA. Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
