Annunziata "Nancy" Morrocco Guarino

Annunziata "Nancy" Morrocco Guarino, age 88, of Erie, died Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at her residence after a brief illness. She was born August 7, 1923 in Erie, a daughter of the late Michael and Josephine Saturna Morrocco.

She was a very active member of St. Paul's RC Church and a member of the Rosary Altar Society. She helped found the first kindergarten at St. Paul's School and was active with St. Paul's Italian Festival.

She was preceded in death by a son, Thomas A. Guarino; a brother, James Morrocco; a sister, Lucille Williams; and a nephew, Dale Williams.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Thomas M. Guarino; a nephew, Michael Morrocco, of Erie; and a niece, Paula Avione, of North East, PA.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. and may attend a service there on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at Saint Paul's RC Church, 1617 Walnut Street, at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
