Anthony B. Foffi

Anthony B. "Tony" Foffi, 84, of Erie, died Wednesday, October 28, 2015, at Saint Vincent Health Center after an extended illness. He was born July 12, 1931, in Belle Vernon, PA, a son of the late Mariano and Pasqua Amatangelo Foffi.

Tony served in the Army Ordinance Corps for two years. He was an Educator at Iroquois School District for thirty year. He was a lifetime member of the Pennsylvania State Education Association, National Education Association, and National Council of Teachers of Mathematics.

Tony was an active member of Saint Paul Church, Saint Paul Holy Name Society, Giuseppe Mazzini Civic Association, and Sons of Italy.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Armand C. DiSantis and one nephew, Dr. Theodore A. DeSantis.

He is survived by his wife, Michele M. DiSalvo Foffi; one daughter, Terra M. Smith (Mark Anthony); and grandson, Gavin V. Young all of Erie.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Sunday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and may attend a Service there on Monday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at Saint Paul RC Church, 1617 Walnut Street, at 10 a.m. Entombment will in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
