Armand M. Colegrande

Armand M. Colegrande, a lifelong resident of Erie, PA passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Friday, June 17, 2022 at the age of 91. He was born on September 7, 1930, a son of the late Angelo and Crocifissa D'Amico Cologrande.

Armand worked for the City of Erie Streets Department as a foreman. He was affectionately known as "Mondo". His passions were Thoroughbred Horse Racing, handball and the daily number. Armand grew up in Erie's Little Italy where he often reminisced about the "good old times" and people were riveted by his stories. In short, he loved company and always made his rounds. He proudly served in the U.S. Army and was a Korean War Veteran. Armand will be sadly missed but is back with his wife of 63 years. He never stopped talking about her and is probably eating a pizzelle cookie with her right now.

In addition to his parents, Armand was proceeded in death by his wife, Frances A. Fusco Colegrande; his daughter, Pamela Colegrande; his brothers Loretto, Sebastion, Anthony and John Cologrande; and his sister Vincenza Gentile.

He's survived by his two sons, Brian and Michael Colegrande; grandchildren, Issabella Colegrande, Giuliana and Francesca Colegrande, and Tommy Davis; a special niece Laurie Bizzarro; and two great friends who were always by his side, Skippy Cannavino and Louie Agostini. He's also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Services were private with burial in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. The Colegrande family would like to thank everyone for all their support, thoughts and prayers. Arrangements were handled by the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, Erie, PA 16502.
