Carol Tatalone Simmons

Carol Tatalone Simmons, 67, of Erie, died Monday, March 14, 2016 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital after a brief illness. She was born September 26, 1948 in Erie, a daughter of the late Anthony and Arlene Thompson Tatalone.

She was employed at the Bel-Aire Clarion Hotel & Conference Center in their catering department. Carol was formerly employed as a nurse's aide at several local nursing homes. She was a wonderful grandmother who cherished the time she spent with her grandsons.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Michael Tatalone.

She is survived by her daughter, Dawn Kifer Flick (Lynn); three brothers, Vincent Tatalone, Anthony Tatalone (Christine) and Samuel Tatalone (Rosalie); a sister, Rachel Sayre (Gary); and three grandsons, Anthony Flick, Matthew Flick and Matthew Miller all of Erie. She is also survived by her best friend, Colette DiPanfilo, and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend a Funeral Service there on Friday at 10 a.m.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
