Charles M. Dippo Sr

Charles M. Dippo Sr., 74, of Erie, passed away Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Fairview Manor. He was born February 10, 1944 in Erie, a son of the late Carl and Madeline Knepper Dippo.

Charles was a graduate of Academy High School. He served in the United State Navy aboard the Lexington as a radioman.

He loved his Cleveland sports teams and adored his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Janicki Dippo and a sister, Maryanne Graham.

He is survived by his son, Charles M. Dippo, Jr. (Rachel) of Erie; two sisters, Carol Leary of Long Island, NY and Jane Heidt of Erie, several nieces and nephews; and seven grandchildren, Elizabeth, Charles III, Benjamin, Alex, Lexy, Katelynn and Abagail. He is also survived by his great-granddaughter, Ana.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and may attend a Funeral Service there on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
