Daniel P. "Danny" Kaeberlein, 77, of Edinboro, passed away Thursday, December 25, 2025 at his home. He was born September 1, 1948 in Erie, a son of the late Fred P. and Ethel Mary (King) Kaeberlein.
Danny graduated from Tech Memorial High School Class of 1966. He honorably served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War aboard the USS America Aircraft Carrier.
For 37 years, Danny worked as a United States Postal Carrier. He was a member of the American Legion Post #571 and participated in Civil War reenactments, where he showcased his passion for history and heritage.
Danny was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns and cherished the joy of reading. He loved music, singing, playing the guitar, and was a Big Beatles fan. He delighted in trivia and genealogy, constantly seeking to learn and connect with the past. But above all, he was a devoted family man, whose greatest treasure was the love of his wife, Peggy Kaeberlein, and their family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Daniel P. Kaeberlein, II; grandson, Bradley Bailey; sister, Betty Dietrich (George); brother, Bob Kaeberlein, and sister-in-law, Janet Kaeberlein.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Peggy Rafaloski Kaeberlein; two daughters, Jennifer L. Healey (Skip) and Kelly M. Moore (Randy); brothers, Bill Kaeberlein and Fred Kaeberlein (Kay); twin sister, Sue Hollenbeck (Bill); and 11 grandchildren, Kristen Kaeberlein, Michael, Aaron, Nathan (Cortney), and Josh Healey, Kyle and Shane Mink, Andrew (Mariah), Stephanie (Breanna), Kaitlyn and Brianna Bailey. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren, Sierra, Khloe, and Elijah, and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Friends are invited to call on Tuesday at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. and may attend a Funeral Service on Wednesday at Abiding Hope Lutheran Church, 2402 West Grandview Blvd., at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Erie Cemetery.
