David A. Markiewicz Sr

David A. Markiewicz, Sr., 63, of Erie, passed away Friday, September 15, 2017 at his residence.

He was born September 14, 1954 in Erie, a son of the late Henry J. and Sally Ann Hoffer Markiewicz. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

David was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He had worked at McCreary Roofing and he enjoyed playing the guitar in local bands.

He is survived by his wife Sheila A. Jensen Markiewicz of Erie; one son, David A. Markiewicz, Jr., (Kelly) of Erie; five brothers, Daniel A. Markiewicz, Edinboro, PA, William P. Markiewicz (Mary Jo), Pittsburgh, PA, Joseph H. Markiewicz (Deborah), Lexington, KY, Michael A. Markiewicz (Susan) and Martin A. Markiewicz (Alexa), of Erie; and two sisters, Linda L. Wall (Jeff), of Erie and Sandra Markiewicz, Dayton, OH; four grandchildren, David, Alexandria, Thomas and Jocelyn Markiewicz. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
