David F. Czarnecki

David F. Czarnecki, age 83, of Erie, passed away Friday, July 8, 2022 at the Embassy of Park Avenue in Meadville, PA. He was born in Erie on October 6, 1938, a son of the late Raymond and Francis Mientkiewicz Czarnecki.

David graduated from East High School, Class of 1956. He worked for many years as an installer for the family business, DeMichele Carpet and Ceramic Tile. He later moved on to work in sales in the food industry. He enjoyed following sports, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was an avid bowler and bowled for 25 years in the 905 League. He loved to be outdoors hunting, fishing, and spending time on the water boating. David was a founding member of the Commodore Perry Yacht Club. He lived his life to the fullest.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Ronald, Thomas, Raymond, and Adrian Czarnecki.

David is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Sarah DeMichele Czarnecki; his daughter, Shelli Pfister (James); his sons, David M. Czarnecki (Amy) and Robert M. Czarnecki (Janet); his grandchildren, Dr. David M. Czarnecki II, Mark S. Czarnecki, Kyle Czarnecki, Emily Compton, Cassidy Pfister and Caelyn Pfister; his sister, Lorraine Haibach; and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

No calling hours will be observed. A service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association (www.alz.org). Arrangements are being handled by the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, Erie, PA 16502.
