Diane M. Leone

Diane M. Leone, age 78, passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, after a life full of love. She was born on January 29, 1944, in Erie and was one of three daughters of the late Leo and Ann Bartley Malinowski.

Diane was a graduate of Villa Maria Academy and the St. Vincent School of Nursing. She worked for 35 years as a well-respected registered nurse. Her career and life were full of nurturing love and grace. Her bright smile and loving way will be missed by many.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Carole Bouchat; her nephews, Joseph Jackson and Mark Cole Leone; and her many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Diane is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Fiore Leone; her daughter, Anne Peguero, husband Albert; her granddaughters, Lillia and Autumn; her son, Paul Leone; her sister, Patricia Jackson, husband Lee; her nieces, Leanne Johnston, husband Sydney, their son Teddy, and many loving cousins.

She is also survived by her brother-in-law Danny Leone; her Goddaughter Hannah Leone; her great nephew Tyler Leone; her nieces Jean Marie King (Jordano) husband Rick, and Cynthia (Jordano) Ferritto; and her nephew Mark Jordano, wife Sandy, as well as many great-nieces and great-nephews.

Friends and family are invited to call on Monday, January 23, at Saint Paul RC Church, 1617 Walnut St., from 10 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Inurnment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org/pa.
