Dilip Kumar Jana, MD

Dr. Dilip Kumar Jana, MD, 88 years old, of Erie, PA, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2026, in Erie, PA.

Dr. Jana was born on August 21, 1937 in Kharagpur, India. He lived a life full of deep love for his family and friends and deep care for his patients. His practice in Erie included cardiology and geriatric medicine.

Dr. Jana was a devoted physician and received many honors, including fellowships from the American College of Physicians and from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in Canada. Dr. Jana loved to sing and loved his dogs. He was a table tennis champion and played cricket in his youth, and was a successful amateur golfer later in life.

He is survived by his wife, Dr. Lourdes Romano-Jana, his children, Reena MacAdam and Dev Jana, and his grandchildren Sacha MacAdam and Ravi MacAdam. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Anjeli Jana.

The family will host a small, private memorial to celebrate Dr. Jana's life and accomplishments.
