Dipo Onipede

Dipo Onipede, age 63, passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at Saint Vincent Hospital. He was born on June 7, 1961 in Lagos, Nigeria, a son of the late Dr. F. Oladipo and Frances A. Onipede.

Dipo received a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Columbia University and then a PhD in Civil Engineering from UCLA. He was an associate professor at Penn State Behrend for 20 years. Dipo enjoyed watching soccer, photography, and taking long walks with his dog, Obi.

He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Selin; his daughter, Yeshim; his son, Kerem; his sisters, Olaperi Onipede and Iyabo Onipede; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ali and Ozlem; his nephew, Emre; and his niece, Ege.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Saturday, January 13, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice
