Dolores E. Brunk

Dolores E. Brunk, age 85, passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at Sarah Reed Senior Living Center. She was born on November 1, 1937 in Erie, a daughter of the late Alexander and Carmella Stelluto Viglione.

Dolores was a graduate of Strong Vincent High School. She worked at various insurance agencies.

Dolores was a member of Sacred Heart Church and their Altar Society and Choir.She was a volunteer for the 2nd Harvest Food Bank, EmergyCare, at the Polls on voting day, and was a reader to children at Grover Cleveland School.

Dolores loved gardening, reading, playing the piano, and spending time with her grandchildren. She had a huge heart and cared deeply about everyone.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Brunk; three brothers, Fred, Leo, and Luca Viglione and two sisters, Cora Notarione and Mary Klemen.

She is survived by her three children, Robert Michael Brunk, Deborah Leone, and James F. Brunk (Michele); brother, Sam Viglione; and four grandchildren, Amanda Pridgen (Preston), Christopher Leone (Melanie), Samantha Poklemba (Cameron), and Nicole Hornaman (Jeremy). She is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren, her special niece, Kathie Mazza and many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc. 2122 Raspberry Street, on Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and may attend a Funeral Mass on Saturday at Sacred Heart Church, 816 West 26th Street, at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please plant a primrose in Dolores's memory. Dolores's family would like to thank Sarah Reed Maple's Unit Staff for their wonderful care.
