Dorothy M. Herman Rafaloski Ponsford

Dorothy M. Herman Rafaloski Ponsford, 90, of Erie, passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at Saint Vincent Hospital. She was born September 8, 1927 in Erie, a daughter of the late Earl and Alice Bauer Herman.

Dorothy worked at Hunters Inn for over 40 years. She was a member of the Seinbenbuerger Club and Knights of Saint John. She enjoyed crocheting, bingo and bowling with the Hunters Inn Honey Bears. Dorothy was a devoted mother and grandmother.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband Walter Rafaloski; second husband Thomas Ponsford; her son, Gary Rafaloski; a grandson, Daniel Kaeberlein II; and three brothers, Robert and Richard Herman and Vernon Dickey.

She is survived by her daughter, Peggy J. Kaeberlein (Daniel) of Edinboro; one brother, David Herman (Becky); three sisters, Ann Grunewald of Erie, Polly Adam of Edinboro, and Phyllis Blackmer (Larry) of Erie. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Jennifer Healey (Skip), Kelly Moore (Randy). Becca Ghisoiu all of Erie, Sara Rafoloski of Jamestown, NY and Tracy Spalla (Chris) of Cannonsburg, PA, 14 great-grandchildren, 3 great great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Friday from 2 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. and may attend a Funeral Service there on Saturday at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Erie Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family.
