Dorothy J. Laudensack Sanfratello

Dorothy J. Laudensack Sanfratello, age 86, of Erie, died Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Presque Isle Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. She was born in Erie, a daughter of the late Michael and Frances Baroth Laudensack. She lived in Erie her entire life.

Dorothy worked as a nurses aid and in Home Healthcare. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed bowling and pokeno.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph C. "Mahat" Sanfratello; one brother, Michael Laudensack and two sisters, Gertrude Hodges and Jeanne Fetterman.

She is survived by one daughter, Donna L. Baker and husband Ron L.; two sons, Joseph M. Sanfratello and wife Christine and James C. Sanfratello; two sisters, Ruth Jones and husband Byron and Nancy Zimmer and husband Barry all of Erie; one brother, Robert Laudensack and wife Jean of Las Vegas, NV and three grandchildren, Jon Costello, Jaclyn Italiani, and Matthew Sanfratello. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Sunday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and may attend a service there on Monday at 10:30 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Paul RC Church, 1617 Walnut Street, at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Saint Gregory Cemetery, North East, PA.
