Dorothy Maghrak DeJohn

Dorothy "Dottie" Maghrak DeJohn, 91, of Erie, passed away Monday, December 19, 2016 at her home. She was born August 6, 1925 in Johnetta, PA, a daughter of the late Paul and Victoria Bishop Maghrak, of Homer City, PA.

Dottie attended secretarial school and then worked at General Electric for 44 years, retiring in 1985. She was involved in Our Lady of Peace Seniors Group and the Sight Center of Northwest, PA.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Tony P. DeJohn; five brothers, Joseph, Paul, Michael, Edward, and John Maghrak; and two sisters, Sophie Esachina and Mary Maghrak.

She is survived by a brother-in-law, Paul Esachina of Blairsville, PA a special nephew and caregiver, James L. Minnis of McKean, PA and many loving nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. and may attend a Funeral Mass on Tuesday at Our Lady of Peace RC Church, 2401 West 38th Street, at 10 a.m. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.
