Elaine Phelps Yarussi

Elaine Phelps Yarussi, age 86, of Erie, died peacefully in her sleep on Monday, May 20, 2013. She was born October 6, 1926 in Erie, a daughter of the late Percy and Clara Grossholz Phelps.

Elaine worked at Kmart for many years. She enjoyed playing cards and was an excellent cook. Her favorite pastime was sitting at the mall and people watching. She was a loving wife, a good friend and kind hearted to everyone.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony V. Yarussi and her brother, Donald Phelps.

She is survived by her loving family and friends.

As per her request no calling hours will be observed. Friends are invited to attend a graveside Funeral Service at Laurel Hill Cemetery on Thursday at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
