Elma Christopher

Elma L. Fratarcangeli Christopher, 91, of Erie, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at Sarah Reed Senior Living. She was born May 10, 1933, a daughter of the late Clino and Florence (LaRiccia) Fratarcangeli.

Elma worked as a teacher's aide in the Erie School District.

Elma was renowned for her warm-hearted spirit, particularly in her love for hosting family gatherings. She had a special talent for creating an inviting atmosphere, whether through her delicious home-cooked meals or the incredible Christmas cookies she joyfully baked each holiday season.

An aficionado of classic entertainment, Elma found delight in watching old-time musicals and the Lawrence Welk show.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alex "Gene" Christopher; a son, Terrance A. Christopher; daughter-in-law, Shellie Patterson; three sisters, Antoinette Necci, Mary LeStorti, and Delores DeLuca; three brothers, Alfonso Fratarcangeli, Victor Fratarcangeli, and Clino Fratarcangeli, Jr.; and her sister-in-law, Susan (Wells) Fratarcangeli.

She is survived by her daughters, Cynthia M. Christopher and Makayla Martinson (Jalen); two granddaughters, Ashley Martinson and Alexandra Christopher; and eight great-grandchildren, Nideliana, Malachi, Malcolm, Torriaun, Dianelis, Terrance, Raielle, and Ja-khi. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call on Saturday at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, 2122 Raspberry Street, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service there at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
