Evelyn Ostrowski Timon Boyle

Evelyn "Evie" Ostrowski Timon Boyle joined the Angels in heaven on Saturday, June 17, 2023. A lifelong resident of Erie, Evelyn was born at Hamot Hospital on June 27, 1933. Daughter of the late Julius and Mary Ostrowski, who called her Poopah as a child. She was also known as Yada in her childhood.

Know to most as Evie, she worked at Security Peoples, Holiday Inn, the Aviation Club, Sons of Italy, Erie Maennerchor Club, and 18 years at Hector Restaurant and Bar.

Evelyn enjoyed sitting on her back porch watching the birds and working in her yard for hours at a time. She delighted in decorating her home for every holiday. She always valued family gatherings, whether it be a simple picnic or a celebration of milestones, holiday, and birthdays. Evelyn loved to cook and sent a "care package" of her awesome cooking home with everyone who visited. She also loved the company of her dog Aggie and cat Kiki.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 13 older siblings and her lifelong friend, Margie Chmielewski.

She is survived by her children, Susan DiPlacido (John), Kathleen Baldi (Alex), Timothy Timon (Karen), James "Jake" Timon, Judith Baldi (Vincent), William Timon (Denise), Patricia Timon, and John Timon (Susan). She is also survived by 24, grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren, along with several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call on Thursday at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. and may attend a Funeral Service there on Friday at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made the Barber National Institute, 100 Barber Place, Erie, PA 16507.
