Francesca Navarino Vitale

Francesca Navarino Vitale, 81, of Erie, passed away Thursday, February 9, 2023 at her residence. She was born September 27, 1941 in Campobasso, Italy, daughter of the late Salvatore and Carmela Ficco Navarino.

Francesca was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed spending as much time as possible with family and friends. She always put everyone's needs before her own.

Francesca was an excellent cook and talented seamstress.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two infant grandsons, Anthony and Michael Vitale.

She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Remo Vitale; a brother, Vincenzo "Enzo" Navarino; two sons, Antonio "Tony" Vitale and his wife Michelle and Salvatore "Sal" Vitale and his wife Lina; and two grandchildren, Salina and Lucas Vitale. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and may attend a Service there on Thursday at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at Saint George Church, 5145 Peach Street, at 10:00 a.m. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
