Francis P. Silay

Francis P. Silay, 68, of Union City, PA, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at UPMC Hamot. He was born July 8, 1950 in Erie, PA, a son of the late Joseph J. Silay, Jr. and Helene B. Hornyak Silay.

Francis worked as a cook at Damore's Restaurant and Greg's Place.

He was active in drug counseling.

He is survived by his brother, George A. Silay of Erie; three nephews; one niece; and his dear friends, Jean Whiteneck of Union City, PA , Anne Hall of Wattsburg, PA, and Greg Mastrian of Erie, PA.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Friday from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. and may attend a Funeral Mass on Saturday at Saint Stephen Church, 1237 West 21st Street, at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be private in Calvary Cemetery.
