Francisco Antonio Ruiz Garcia, 81, of Erie died Thursday, July 30, 2015 at his residence. He was born April 8, 1934 in Yauco, Puerto Rico, a son of the late Juan and Francisca Garcia Ruiz. Francisco loved his dog "Mini Me" and enjoyed gardening.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his companion of 36 years, Ramona Quinones, four sisters, and three brothers.

He is survived by his children, Francisco Ruiz (Nilsa), Jose Polanco (Tamara), Miguel Ruiz (Marta), Juan, Alberto, Javier, Jose, Aida, Madeline, and Mildred Ruiz, and Elving, Damaris, Clara, and Carmen Malave; two sisters and two brothers. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Friends may call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street on Monday evening from 6 p.m. until the time of the Funeral Service there at 8 p.m.
