Frank E. Travise

Frank E. Travise, 90, of Erie, died Sunday, April 26, 2015 at his home. He was born February 16, 1925, a son of the late Anthony and Katy Angelo Travise.

He served in the United States Army during World War II. Frank married his English war bride in 1945 and they happily resided in the home that he single handedly built for them.

He worked at GE for 38 years. He enjoyed gardening but loved his family most of all.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Sam Travis and two sisters, Frances Lindsey and Elsie Coon.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Olga Anderson Travis of Erie; four daughters, Christine Latona (Giovanni), Katherine Travis, and Karen Pernice (Bud) all of Erie, and Janet Santarelli (Louis) of Buffalo, NY; two sons Frank Travis (Tracie) of Erie and John Travis (Dorothy) of Hedgesville, WV and two sisters, Louise Anderson of Erie and Jeanette Formani of Atlanta, GE. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and may attend a service there on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
