George A. "HUD" Hudnall, 85, of Erie, passed away Thursday, August 7, 2025 at his residence. He was born March 17, 1940 in Lancaster, Ohio, a son of the late Raymond and Reathie (Walton) Hudnall.
George was simply the best. As quoted by his buddy Tiernan, "If you ever got the chance to meet George you would know that he was a really great person. Always was himself no matter what! He accepted everyone and would try to make everyone laugh. If you saw George and he was driving one of his sporty nice cars I'm sure he would want you to sit in it and take you for a ride and talk about how he was wanting another one. Or if you saw him on the golf course I'm sure he would want to teach you everything about it!"
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Kevin Hudnall.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Meyn; daughter, Shelli Hudnall; two sons, Brent and Jamie Hudnall; step-daughter, Valerie DeCamp; step-son-in-law, Donnie DeCamp; grandchildren, Drevyn, Wyatt, Phillip, and Addie; his Portland family, Ghassan, Madeline, Casper, and Aaliyah Ammar; sister-in-law, Janice Addams (Joseph); and brother-in-law, Otto "Skip" Meyn (Cathy) and their family, Allison, Jonathan, and Dylan. He is also survived by his special Erie family, Donna Baney (Alex Cohen) and their family, Baylon, Aidan, Alton, and Tiernan Northup; his dear friend, Jerry Baracka and fur babies, Anne and Bode.
No calling hours will be observed. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Erie City Mission, www.eriecitymission.org or to the ANNA Shelter, 1555 E 10th St, Erie, PA 16511. The John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, is handling arrangements.
