Guy M. Seggi, 78 of Erie, passed on to heaven, on Tuesday July 19, 2016 at the Veteran's Hospital Erie, surrounded by his loving family. Guy is the son of Sam J. Seggi Sr. and Mary R. Seggi (Cala).

Born on Christmas Day 1937, he was a well known and respected sales and business person, who was a partner in the Family business Seggi & Sons Home Improvements, Tri-Bro Real Estate, Seggi Broadcasting Co. (WSEG Radio) and in automotive sales.

Guy graduated from Academy High School in 1955, where he played varsity football. He served his country in the U.S. Army, during the Berlin Crisis.

Among his many talents, was his love for cars and music. He played the drums, organ, accordion and for years sang in the St. Paul Choir. He was a member of the PROBUS (Professional Business Organization).

Guy was a people person, who was always known for his smile and great story telling. His presence in life will leave a eternal footprint in the sand for all that knew him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Julie Ann. Seggi and a infant brother Antonino Seggi.

Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years, Grace M. Seggi (Pizzi), son Gary Michael Seggi (Brenda Rensel), granddaughters Kelsie Thompson (Mark) of Ft. Bragg, N.C. and Kailee Traut (Cannon) of Pittsburgh, Cassandra and Blake Rensel, great grandchildren, Jordan, Emma Grace, Carter, Noah, Emma, brothers Sam J. Seggi Jr. Erie, Ronald G. Seggi (Claudia) Orlando, Florida and many loving nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be observed on Thursday, July 21, at the Orlando Funeral Home 2122 Raspberry St. from 5 to 8 P.M., with a Service to follow by Msgr. Thomas Snyderwine. A private internment will be at Calvary Cemetery in the Seggi Family plot.

The Guy Seggi Family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Hospice Care at the Erie Veteran's Hospital or to St. Jude Childrens' Hospital.
