Harriet Umpirowicz

Harriet Umpirowicz age 86, passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2013 at Presque Isle Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

A lifelong resident of Erie she was born November 1, 1926, a daughter of the late Carl and Frances Chuvnel Umpirowicz. She had been employed at Western Union and Marx Toys. Harriet was strongly devoted to her catholic faith and was a fervent advocate of individual rights. She enjoyed gardening and collecting various items of interest.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers John, Peter and Anthony Umpirowicz. She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

A private service and burial was held at the family's convenience. Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice. Funeral arrangements were handled by the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street.
