Harry Louis Boback Sr.

Harry Louis Boback, Sr., age 88, formerly of Erie, died Saturday, August 17, 2013 in Fairhope, AL.

He was the longest serving member of the PIAA with over 60 years of service as a basketball and football official. Harry was a United States Navy veteran, and a longtime champion golfer.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Valentine Elizabeth Boback.

He is survived by his two sons, Harry Boback, Jr. of Fairhope, AL and John Boback of Erie, PA and granddaughter, Kate Boback of Fairhope, AL.

Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Funeral Mass on Friday at Saint Paul RC Church, 1617 Walnut Street, at 11 a.m. The John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, is handling arrangements.
