Helen Zipperi Merritt

Helen Zipperi Merritt, 82, of Edinboro, formerly of Waterford, died Saturday, Mary 7, 2015 at Edinboro Manor after a brief illness. She was born December 20, 1932 in Erie, a daughter of the late Rocco and Sarah Bruschi Zipperi.

She was a hard working woman that enjoyed spending time with her family.

In addition to her parent she was preceded in death by her son, Donald J. Merritt; a brother, Paul Zipperi, and four sisters, Mary Karpinski, Billie Jean Bongiorno, Frances May, and Elizabeth Kaizer.

She is survived by her daughter, Pamela R. Mooney (Dennis) of Union City, a brother, Thomas Zipperi (Joann) of Erie; nine grandchildren, Bryan, Denise, Kimberly, Jesse, Eric, Kristina, Donald Jr., Amanda, and David. She is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren, one great great-grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 until the time of the Funeral Service there at 8 p.m.
