Hilda Mary Cargioli Guilianelli

Hilda Mary Cargioli Guilianelli, 99, of Erie, resident of Sarah Reed Senior Living, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2016 at Saint Vincent Health Center after a brief illness. She was born October 24, 1916 in Erie, a daughter of the late Joseph and Luchrezia Marchini Cargioli.

Hilda was a long time member of Blessed Sacrament Church. She worked at Marx Toys. For most of her marriage she was a homemaker. She was known for her wonderful home cooking and hosted many meals for family and friends over the years. She loved company and always tried to feed anyone who came to visit. She loved to read and enjoyed playing cards with her family, and her "card club girl friends"

Hilda was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Wilson J. Guilianelli. Also preceding her in death was her son Louis A. Guilianelli, her sister Julia Maracci, and brothers, Mead, Frank and Geno Cargioli.

Survivors include her daughter, Marie A. Matlak (Richard) of Erie; daughter-in-law, JoAnn Guilianelli of Erie; and sons, Wilson Guilianelli (Joan) of Highland Park, IL, and James J. Guilianelli (Ron Johnson)of Newburgh, NY. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and may attend a service there on Monday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at Blessed Sacrament Church, 1616 West 26th Street, at 10 a.m. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to the charity of one's choice
