Jackie Babcock, 90, of Erie, died peacefully, Saturday, March 21, 2026 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 1, 1935 in Erie, a son of the late Elmer and Alice Babcock.
Jackie proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked for Erie Forge and Steel for 38 years.
Jackie attended Grace of Calvary Baptist Church.
He enjoyed visits with his grandchildren and loved his family dearly.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley Thomas Babcock; infant daughter, Julia Ann Williams; one brother; three sisters; and one nephew.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Fay McKay Babcock; two daughters, Tabatha Steadman (Jeremy) and Deborah Sue Carlson (Theron); and two sons, Van Williams (Chemilyn) and Robert "Bobby" Williams (Kimberly). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; 1 niece; and several foster children.
Friends are invited to call on Friday at the John R. Orlando Funeral, 2122 Raspberry St., from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services and burial will be private at Erie County Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, American Cancer Society">American Cancer Society
