James A. Vereb

James A. Vereb, age 69, passed away on Friday, June 9, 2023 at Saint Vincent Hospital. He was born on January 31, 1954 in Erie, a son of the late Anthony "Jim" and Julia M. DiSabatino Vereb.

Jim was a skilled and talented handyman in many different fields, from automotive to electrical, Jim could fix it. He was a gifted boxer in his younger years. He had a very likable personality and had many friends. He was a good son, brother and uncle who will be missed by all that knew him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, William A. Vereb, Sr. and Gary J. Vereb.

Jim is survived by his loving companion, Tammy Garofalo; his sister, Debora A. Holder (Will); his nieces and nephews, Shannon Gehling (Robert), William Vereb, Jr. (Chasity), Julia Holder and Samantha Holder; and his great nieces and nephews, Christian, Joshua, Bella, and Dominic.

Funeral Services will be private. Arrangements are being handled by the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, Erie, PA 16502. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org.
