James Robert Brunk

James Robert Brunk, 79, of Erie, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2016 at Saint Vincent Health Center after an extended illness. He was born November 11, 1937 in Erie, a son of the late Robert and Francelia Durst Brunk.

He served in the National Guard and worked at Hammermill Paper Company for over 35 years, retiring in 2000.

He was an avid woodworker, gardener, fisherman, sports card collector, and history buff.

In addition to his parents James was preceded in death by his sister Janet Turner.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years Dolores Emelia Viglione Brunk; one daughter, Debbie J. Leone; two sons, Robert M. Brunk all of Erie and James F. Brunk (Michele) of Georgia; and four grandchildren, Amanda, Christopher, Samantha and Nicole. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren; a special niece, Kathie M. Mazza of North East; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Tuesday from 4 p.m. until the time of the Funeral Service there at 6 p.m. Burial will be private at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made the family.
