Janet M. Balchunas DeMarco

Janet M. Balchunas DeMarco, age 78, of 821 West 24th Street, died Friday, July 18, 2008 at Hamot Medical Center after an extended illness.

She was born March 26, 1930 in Duquesne, PA, a daughter of the late Charles and Suzanne Janko Balchunas. She lived in Erie her most of her life. She had worked at G.E. for 25 years. She enjoyed her flower garden and crossword puzzles.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Ralph V. DeMarco of Erie; one daughter, Sandy DeMarco of Erie; one son, Michael DeMarco of Santa Fe, NM; one sister, Florence Lowe of NH and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Monday at 10am until the time of service there at 11 am. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
