Joseph Orlando

Joseph Orlando, 77, died Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at his residence. He was born February 2, 1936 in Montenero, Italy, a son of the late Peter and Colomba Zuchegna Orlando.

He has lived in Erie most of his life. He had worked at American Sterilizer. He enjoyed camping, his ATV, hunting and bocce. He was a member of the ATV Traction Club.

He was preceded in death by his wife Rosalie M. Gasbarro Orlando,one brother, John Orlando and one sister, Filomena Orlando.

He is survived by one daughter, Susan M. Fry and her husband Mike, of Kalamazoo, MI; one son, Michael D. Orlando and his wife Heidi, of Pittsburgh, PA; five brothers, Tony Orlando and his wife Barbara, Tom Orlando and his wife Linda, Sal Orlando and his wife Mary, Nick Orlando and his wife Carmela, all of Erie, and Mario Orlando and his wife Lena, Phoenix, AZ. Also surviving are two grandsons, David and Alex Fry, of Michigan, and many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Sunday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and may attend a service there on Monday at 9 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Paul RC Church, 1617 Walnut Street, at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in Trinity Cemetery.
