Karen E. Urraro, age 74, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at her residence. She was born on October 10, 1949 in Erie, a daughter of the late Richard and Elfrieda Leitz Bly.
Karen was a graduate of McDowell High School, Class of 1967. Karen had a passion for reading, ceramics, crocheting, sewing, and gardening. She was a devoted dog lover, having owned many furry companions throughout her life, and also enjoyed cooking and baking for her loved ones. Karen will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her, and her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched. May she rest in peace.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Charles T. Urraro; her brother, Richard T. Bly, Jr.; her sister, Sandy Bly Michalczik; and her brother-in-law, Scott Urraro.
She is survived by her two loving children, Lance Urraro and Elizabeth Urraro; her brother, Tom Bly (Peg); her sister, Cindy Pacileo (John); her sister-in-law, Gail Urraro; her nieces and nephews, Carmen Goodson, Abby McShane, Shane, Seth, and Elisa Pacileo, Jonathan and Ted Bly, Danielle Bates, and Sean and Aric Michalczik; her great niece, Carly Goodson; and her aunt, Anneliese Peterson of Rome, NY.
Private funeral arrangements are being handled by the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, Erie, PA 16502. Memorials may be made to the Erie Humane Society.
