Kathleen McCafferty-Pianta

Kathleen A. McCafferty-Pianta, 75, of Erie, passed away, Friday, September 6, 2024 at UPMC Hamot. She was born December 6, 1948 in Erie, a daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret "Mint" (Preston) McCafferty.

Kathy was a graduate of St. Benedict Academy. She spent most of her career in banking, retiring as the Vice-President of National City Bank. After her retirement she worked at Bob Ferrando Ford Sales, Inc.

Kathy loved gardening, her pets, and shopping.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Michael and Patrick McCafferty and infant brother Joseph McCafferty.

She is survived by her sister, Susan Euliano and her husband Douglas and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law.

Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Friday, September 20th at Saint Jude the Apostle Church, 2801 West 6th Street, at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be private in Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be made to ANNA Shelter, 1555 East 10th St, Erie, PA 16511.
