Kathleen L. Orlando

Kathleen L. "Kathy" (Chase) Orlando, age 74, passed away on Monday, April 22, 2024 at UPMC Hamot Hospital after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was born on February 13, 1950 in Erie, a daughter of the late Norman and Sylvia (Merritt) Chase.

Kathy was a graduate of Academy High School, Class of 1968. She loved reading, crafting, sewing, quilting, and camping with her husband, friends and family. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church where she worked in the nursery for many years. Kathy was also a member of the Wesleyville Athletic Club where she loved playing Bingo with close friends. Her passion was with her Northeast Quilt Guild and the friendships she made there.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Norman Chase.

Kathy is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, James Orlando; her children, Jamie Orlando (wife, Nicole), Kara Steiner (husband, David), and Chad Orlando (wife, Jamie Marie); and her sisters, Judy Stossmeister and Susan Chase. She was known as "Nonna" to her five grandchildren, Bella, Samantha, Mason, Braden, and Morgan, whom she loved dearly. She is also survived by her "fur babies", Molly and Ty.
