Kenneth B. Heeter, Sr.

April 15, 1936 — September 6, 2024

Kenneth B. Heeter, Sr., age 88, passed away peacefully Friday, September 6, 2024 at the Pennsylvania Soldiers and Sailors Home. He was born April 15, 1936 in Warren, PA, a son of the late Richard and Inez (Winger) Heeter.

Ken served in the United States Army. He was a supervisor at Hayes Manufacturing and at Zurn Industries and retired from the Hite Company. Ken enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting, fishing and golfing. He loved country music, especially watching his brothers perform in their band "Country Legend". The most important aspect of his life was his family, especially spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Kenneth B. "Kip" Heeter; five brothers, James Heeter and his wife Audrey, John Heeter, Ronald Heeter, Richard Heeter, and Paul Heeter; and sister-in-law, Joanne Heeter.

He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years Patricia (Wagner) Heeter; one daughter, Brenda Carr (Robert); three sons, Kenneth Heeter, Jr., Mark Heeter (Janet), and Steven Heeter (Linda); one brother, Robert Heeter; two sisters-in-law, Gina Heeter and Linda Heeter; eight grandchildren, Jeremy, Cindy, Carrie, Tricia, Matthew, Steven, Rachel, and Kelly. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Friends are invited to call on Monday at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, from 3 p.m. until the time of the Funeral Service there at 6 p.m. Burial will be private in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Ken's family would like to extend a heartfelt "Thank You" to his caregivers at the PA Soldiers and Sailors Home for their exceptional care and compassion.
