Lena Filippi Donatucci

Lena Filippi Donatucci, 97, of Erie, died Sunday, February 28, 2016 at Edinboro Manor. She was born September 13, 1918 in Erie, a daughter of the late Ernesto and Palmira Carnicelli Filippi.

Lena enjoyed crocheting, gardening, music and cooking. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent E. Donatucci; two sons, Francis E. Donatucci and Bernard G. Donatucci; and three brothers, Lelio "Lou" Filippi, Leno Filippi and Louis Filippi.

She is survived by her daughter, Paula F. Praetzel (Robert) of Erie; a son, Dr. Dana A. Donatucci (Joan) of Roseville, MN; sister, Louise Bertone of Erie; and daughter-in-law, Kathy Donatucci of Stamford, CT. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Private services are to be held at the family's convenience. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street.
