Lynda M. Snarski Johnson

Lynda M. Snarski Johnson, age 44, passed away after an extended illness on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at UPMC Hamot Hospital. She was born on March 3, 1979 in Erie, a daughter of the late Edward Snarski and Linda Taylor.

Lynda grew up in Wesleyville and was a 1997 graduate of Iroquois High School. Lynda served as a lead bartender at the TPC Sawgrass Golf Tournament and the WM Phoenix Open in Arizona. After moving back to Erie, Lynda, spent 12 years at the Erie Yacht Club as a clubroom bartender. Most recently, she worked as an Administrative Office Assistant and retail representative at Macy's Department Store. She enjoyed spending time outdoors golfing and doing anything on the water. Lynda was an artist at heart, and enjoyed painting and creating mosaic diamond art pieces. Lynda was a die-hard Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins fan. "Happy Steelers Day!" She loved her family dearly and will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her loving husband, Martin G. Johnson; her son, Martin E. Johnson; her brothers Joey Smart (Lorrie), Michael Smart (Lori), and Jack Smart; her step-father, Les Taylor, her father and mother-in-law, Thomas and Eileen Zielinski; and her best friend, Jackie Tufts. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Monday from 3 p.m. until the time of the service there at 6 p.m.
