Lynne (Karle) Wright

We are saddened to announce the passing of our beloved mother & sister Lynne. Lynne passed suddenly and unexpectedly on September 28, 2026 at St. Vincent Hospital.

Lynne was the beloved mother of Danelle M. Wright of Winston-Salem, NC. and Bryan C. Wright of Erie. She is also survived by her sisters, Denise (Karle) Parker of Erie and Mary (Karle) Sivak of Springfield, Ill.

Lynne was predeceased by her parents, Dr. John G. Karle and Adele (Trippe) Karle.

Lynne worked for many years at Gannon University as the International Admissions Coordinator, a position that gave her the opportunity to connect with people from around the world and form many lasting friendships.

Lynne was proud of her Italian heritage and especially enjoyed carrying on its traditions through cooking for her family and friends. She loved gathering around the table with those closest to her, often with a glass of Pinot Grigio nearby.

She treasured the many friendships she made throughout her life, including those from her days at Mercyhurst Prep, her neighborhood friends, and the countless people she met along the way. Lynne had a special way of touching the hearts of others and was rarely without a smile. She also found great enjoyment tending to her garden.

Lynne was an active member of the Sportsman's Club of Erie and the First Spiritualist Church of Erie.

Above all, Lynne loved having a good time and being surrounded by the people she loved. She will be remembered for her quick wit and sarcasm, her hearty and unmistakable laugh, her many Facebook posts, and the joy and personality she brought wherever she went. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Friends are invited to call on Sunday, October 4th, at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held there on Monday, October 5th, at 9:30 a.m., followed by burial in Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Liberty House of Erie, 550 W. 7th St., Erie, PA 16502; the Erie City Mission, 1017 French St., Erie, PA 16501; or to a charity of one's choice.
