Marie Catalde Ziroli

Marie Catalde Ziroli, age 86, of Erie, passed away at her home on August 20, 2021, after a period of declining health. She was born February 23, 1935 in Erie, daughter of the late Frank Catalde and Helen Szabo Tokar.

Marie was a natural-born people person and made her living by doing what she loved, and that was taking care of others. She worked at local restaurants, lastly serving her "Golf Ladies" at the Kahkwa Club. She had a Heartfelt connection to them and considered them as her extended family. Due to health issues she sadly had to retire from the Kahkwa Club after 32 years of service at the age of 85.

Her unforgettable personality touched many lives. She was a great encouragement to others and had a gift for making people feel very special and loved.

Marie was a lifelong lover of dancing. Before the passing of her beloved husband Palmer, they could always be found on the dance floor enjoying one another and entertaining anyone who got to see them dance.

Her source of love, inspiration and joy always centered around her family. She will be remembered for being a great hostess, organizing fantastic family gatherings and bringing people together. Her strength, compassion, generosity and work ethic set the example her family is proud to follow.

Marie's unending love was made of deep devotion and sacrifice. It was endless, unselfish and enduring. It was her love that made our family strong. We will live with so many amazing memories and laughable times she made with us. We can never fully express our gratitude for the love we received from this wonderful woman.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Palmer Ziroli (2009); her daughter, Lisa Seaholm (2017); daughter-in-law, Sherry Ziroli (2003); three brothers and one sister, many in-laws, a niece and nephew.

She is survived by her daughters, Cindy Agostino (Vincent) and Paula Yazembiak; her son, Daniel Ziroli; her sister, Betty Bernritter; her son-in-law, Greg Seaholm; and her grandchildren, Nicole DiFilippo (Darren), Ashley Cardenas (Yuniel), John Yazembiak, Tara Cole (Adam), Keri Carroll (Tim), Nicholas Seaholm and Mitchell Seaholm. She is also survived by five great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

There will be no public viewing as mom's final wishes were to keep her passing private and for the immediate family. The John R. Orlando Funeral Home, 2122 Raspberry Street, Erie, PA, 16502, is handling arrangements.
