Marjorie Ann Quinlan Scutella, beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother passed away peacefully on February 15, 2023. She was born on April 13, 1934 in Erie, a daughter of the late John and Agnus Schumacher Quinlan.

Margie was a life-long resident of Erie. She was an avid reader, a poet, a nature lover and a great humanitarian. Margie retired from the Luther Home for the Aged after 28 years as a Caregiver. She spent her retirement years with her children and grandchildren. She loved gardening, writing poetry and became a talented artist in her later years. Margie was known for her incredible wit and her profound sense of compassion for others. Above all, her love was unconditional, and you did not have to be present to feel it.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Scutella, Jr.; her grandson, Ryann Scutella; and her eleven siblings. She was also preceded in death by many beloved brothers and sisters-in-law.

Margie is survived by her seven children, Joseph M. Scutella (Mary Ann), Patrick Scutella (Mary), Michael Scutella (Lynn), Daniel Scutella (Rochelle), Laurie Scutella Deeter (Richard), Kellie Scutella-Nuara (Ron) and John Scutella. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Lucia, Patsy, Josh, Blakeslee, Ronnie, Arontino, Sierra and Jacob; and her great grandchildren, Eli, Grayson, Santino, Augustina, and Lily.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Sunday, February 19th, from 2:00p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at Saint Paul RC Church, 1617 Walnut Street, on Monday, February 20th, at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be private at a later date. Memorials may be made in her memory to a local animal shelter of your choice.
