Mary Liberatore Sabbatine

Mary (Liberatore) Sabbatine, 103, passed away Monday, July 23, 2018 at Sarah Reed Senior Living. She was born February 21, 1915 in Erie, a daughter of the late Giovanni and Lucia (Pace) Liberatore.

Mary worked as a Foster Grandmother at Saint Vincent Hospital, retiring after 25 years of service.

She enjoyed traveling to Italy, cooking the family recipes, playing cards, listening to music: "My Blue Heaven" and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Raymond Sabbatine and her second husband, Attilio (Art) Vomero; brothers, John, Anthony, Pietro, Vincent, and Riccardo; sisters, Yola Libertatore, Kay White, Josephine DeSarro, Florence Pontoriero, and Hilda DeSantis; her in-laws, Felix and Alberta (DiPiero) Sabatini; bother-in-law, Leroy; and sisters-in-law, Lillian Quadri, Josephine Kwiatowski, Anita Ferrara, Adeline Cacchione, Margaret Baldini, and Rose Augustine.

She is survived by her children, Patricia Dailey and husband Tod and Raymond Sabbatine and wife Anne; granddaughters, Maureen Winschel and husband Michael and Andrea Sabbatine; and great-grandchildren, Lauren and Timothy Winschel. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

No calling hours will be observed. Private arrangements are being handled by the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street.
