Mary Jane Taylor

Mary Jane Taylor, age 90, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 21, 2026. She was born on October 2, 1935 in Erie, a beloved daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Cronin) Foht.

Family was the heart of Mary Jane's life, and she found her greatest joy in being around those she loved. She especially treasured her role as a grandmother and took great pride in watching her family grow. Mary Jane found much joy in gardening and found peace and happiness in tending to her plants and flowers. Mary Jane had a way of speaking her mind. She was a strong willed woman with a fiery spirit that will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life, Dr. Frank "Doc" Taylor, whose memory she carried with her always.

Mary Jane is survived by her five children, Sean (Melissa) Taylor, of Fairview, PA, Charles Taylor, of Cape Canaveral, FL, Virginia Taylor, of Ocean Ridge, FL, Michael (Brittany) Taylor, of Parrish, FL, and John Taylor, of Erie; and her grandchildren, Remington, Breckin, Grayson, and Jaxson Taylor.

Friends are invited to call at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery Chapel, 6248 West Lake Rd, Erie, on Saturday, January 31, 2026 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service there at 10 a.m.
