Michael Joseph Scutella

Michael J. Scutella, age 36, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Tuesday, July 28, 2026. He was born on July 29, 1989 in Erie, a son of Anthony and Rose (Savoia) Scutella.

Michael had a strong passion for music, video games, and spending time with family including attending many local and national car shows with his father. He was a fan of Godzilla, Warhammer Space Marine and had a love for animals. He was best known for being a talented drummer for his bands Revelation, and Requiem for Oblivion with his best friend Steve Jacobson. With over 15 years of drumming he was dedicated into perfecting his craft and love for music. He is life was full of love, laughter, music and countless memories that will live on in those who knew him. He will be deeply missed, forever loved and always remembered.

In addition to his parents, Michael is survived by his three brothers, Anthony Scutella (Amanda), Sam Scutella (Jennifer), and James Scutella (Sarah Groner); his three nieces, Kaitlyn, Addison, and Parker; and his longtime girlfriend, Michelle Cassidy. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, 2122 Raspberry Street, on Monday, August 3rd from 3 p.m. until the time of the Funeral Service there at 6 p.m. Burial will be private in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
