It is with great sadness and great joy that we report, Mildred M. Kochis Donato, has transcended this life and has gone to heaven on Sunday, September 14, 2014.

In addition to raising 2 sons, Mildred worked at the Boston Store, GE and Niagara Plastics before finding a home at Erie Insurance, where she worked for over 30 years until she retired.

Mildred is preceded in death by her husband Samuel Elmer Donato, her grandson Trevor Jon Donato and her father and mother. At 87, Mildred is the last of the 8 brothers and sisters of the Peter Kochis and Anna Gala-Kochis family.

Mildred is survived by her son Joseph and his wife Laurie of Erie, by her son Richard, who resides in Fort Lauderdale, Fl., three grandchildren, Jeremy Donato of Nashville, TN, Nicole Donato of Houston, TX, Caitlin Donato of Cooper City, FL, and two great- grandchildren, Hailey Donato (8) of Nashville and Easton Donato (2) of Cooper City.

The family would like to offer their undying gratitude, love and thanks to the entire staff of Twinbrook Medical Center for their professional care and true affection they show their patients, whom they consider family and to the Heartland Hospice staff, who made Mildred's transition from this life comfortable and one of dignity.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and may attend a service there on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at Blessed Sacrament RC Church, 1626 West 26th Street, at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
