Nicolina "Nikki" Pallotto Baker, age 92, life-long resident of Erie, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2022. She was born May 29, 1930, in Erie's "Little Italy" neighborhood, a daughter of the late Pasquale and Constantina Orlando Pallotto, who immigrated to the United States from Montenero, Italy.

Nikki was a graduate of Strong Vincent High School, Class of 1948. She enjoyed years of working at General Electric before marrying her husband, Boyd Baker, Sr. in 1960 and raising three children.

Nikki was a member of Sacred Heart Church and The Montenero Ladies Society.

In her younger years, Nikki enjoyed dancing, traveling on many trips, playing in bowling and bocce leagues, and was affiliated with Weight Watchers in the 1970's. She later enjoyed her grandchildren, card club, bingo, and going to the casino to play the slots. She adored Engelbert Humperdinck and relished his scarf that was thrown to her at his concert.

Nikki had many family members and life-long friends who also lived into their nineties.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Boyd Baker, Sr., who tragically passed away in 1990; her brother, George Pallotto and his wife Josephine; and her sister, Mary Dziechciarz and her husband Leo.

She is survived by her three children, Patrick Baker (Linda) of Pittsburgh, Tina Baker, life-long resident of Erie, and Boyd Baker, Jr. of Naples, FL; and six grandchildren, Joshua Baker (Amanda), Ryan Baker (Alexandra), and Dylan Baker (Jennifer) all of Pittsburgh, Nathan Baker (Kathryn) of Norfolk, VA, Jacob Baker of Morrisville, PA, and Lindsey Baker, of Erie. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Tuesday from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. and may attend a Service there on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart Church, 816 West 26th Street at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be made to AseraCare Hospice, 12664 Route 19, Waterford, PA 16441.
