Norma Jean Cross

Norma Jean Cross, age 75, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, June 27, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was born on January 2, 1949 in Erie, a daughter of the late George and Viola Oakes Robinson.

She was a hard working woman who was always willing to lend a hand to those in need. Above all else, family was most important to her. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren dearly. "Good night, I love you, See you tomorrow, I said it faster."

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Miles V. Cross, Sr.; her brother, George Robinson, Jr.; and her great-grandson, Chance Medeiros.

She is survived by her children, Tina Kelsey (Edward), Michael Cross, Miles Cross, Jr., and Qudear Robison; her grandchildren, Monica Robison, Tiffany Swope (Cameron Medeiros), Justin, Caitlynn, and Madilynn Cross; her brothers, Ernest Robinson (Virginia) and Anthony Robinson; and her sister, Ruby Irwin. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc. 2122 Raspberry Street, on Monday from 3 p.m. until the time of the funeral service there at 6 p.m. Memorials may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
